Timothée Chalamet is pulling out all the stops for his role as Bob Dylan in the upcoming biopic A Complete Unknown. Not only is he portraying the music icon, but he’s also learned and performed an incredible 40 of Dylan’s songs—live.
The film’s producer revealed the impressive feat, saying, “Timothée learned and performed 40 Dylan songs on guitar, harmonica, and singing live. He did it take after take after take.” Talk about dedication!
For Chalamet, it wasn’t just about mimicking Dylan’s performance style—it was about embodying the essence of the legendary musician. “It was important for me to sing and play live,” Timothée explained. “Because if I can actually do it, why should there be an element of artifice here? And I’m proud that we took that leap.”
Fans can see his hard work pay off when A Complete Unknown hits theaters this Christmas Day.
