Prince’s “Purple Rain” House Is Being Offered as an Airbnb

If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping into Prince’s world, now is your chance! In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Purple Rain, Prince’s iconic house from the movie is being transformed into an Airbnb experience, offering fans an unforgettable opportunity. But this isn’t just any old house—it’s been lovingly curated into a shrine dedicated to both the film Purple Rain and the legacy of Prince himself.

Located in the heart of Minneapolis, the house that Prince’s character called home in Purple Rain has been reimagined into a space filled with memorabilia and special tributes. If you’re lucky enough to snag one of the 25 one-night stays being offered, you’ll be fully immersed in Prince’s world from the moment you step inside.

Visitors will have access to Prince’s personal tape collection, showcasing his legendary music taste and creativity. You’ll also get a glimpse of the actual outfits Prince wore, a treat for any fan of his iconic style. And for an even more unique twist, there’s a curated scent bar featuring some of Prince’s favorite perfumes—because even the air you breathe should remind you of his royal presence!

But the magic doesn’t stop there. A music lounge equipped with instruments awaits those eager to channel their inner rockstar. And if you’ve ever wanted to belt out Purple Rain, an app will guide you on how to play or sing the legendary tune.

For the adventurous, the house holds a special surprise—a secret door that leads to a room filled with “treasures,” which remains a mystery until you arrive. What hidden gems will you discover in this Prince-inspired world? Only those lucky enough to stay will know!

These 25 exclusive one-night stays will be available between October 26th and December 14th, and each night is only $7 per person—a tribute to Prince’s song “7,” though not featured on the Purple Rain soundtrack. Booking requests open on October 6th at 6:00 a.m. Pacific Time, and lucky winners will be chosen at random.
