Carlos Santana collapsed on stage last night (July 5th) while performing in Independence Township, Michigan at the Pine Knob Music Theatre.
The incident took place nearly an hour into his performance and the show was halted while medics attended to the guitar legend.
Several minutes later, a crew member came on stage and announced, “Ladies and gentlemen, as you can see we have a severe medical emergency. Let’s share our prayers…We need it right now…Please send your light and love to this man. He deserves it. Give it up for this man.”
According to his manager, Michael Vrionis, Santana was “over-taken with heat exhaustion and dehydration.”
The 74-year-old was taken to the emergency department at a nearby medical clinic for observation and is “doing well,” Vrionis shared.
