Mariah Carey Calls out MTV on VMA Snubs: ‘MTV How Have I Offended Thee?’

Mariah Carey has released 19 #1 hits, won five Grammy Awards, 19 World Music Awards, and 21 Billboard Music Awards but never a VMA Award.

A fan pointed out this astonishing tidbit on Twitter saying, “The fact that @MariahCarey never won a VMA and still hasn’t won a Vanguard award don’t sit right with me. Get it together @MTV @vmas.”

Mimi herself responded saying, “Yeah.. @MTV how have I offended thee? Nary an award?” 

The singer included a GIF from her cinematic spy thriller-themed music video for “Honey “

 

Let’s hope her remix of “Big Energy” with Latto will be eligible for a 2022 Award so the VMAs can make this right asap.
