Jessica Simpson announced that she has teamed up with Amazon Prime for an unscripted docuseries, based on her memoir Open Book and Amazon-owned IMDb TV, is also developing a coming-of-age scripted series inspired by the book.
According to Deadline, the multi-part documentary series will launch on Amazon Prime Video. Featuring never-before-seen personal footage shot over the last decade, it will explore the highs and lows of Simpson’s life, including her singing career, her journey to sobriety, starting a family, the rise of creating a billion-dollar business.
The fictionalized drama series will air on IMDb TV and will be centered around Simpson coming of age in her mid-twenties, following her divorce, on the journey to discovering herself.
