Benson Boone had his biggest performance yet at Coachella 2025, and he didn’t hold back. The 22-year-old singer—who’s had a massive year with his Grammy-nominated music—channeled his inner Freddie Mercury in a show-stopping performance of “Bohemian Rhapsody”… with none other than Queen legend Brian May joining him onstage.
Boone later took to Instagram to share how much the moment meant to him, writing:
“This show is by far and easily the biggest production I have ever been a part of… @brianmayforreal I have no words. You are easily one of the most legendary musicians of all time and I cannot thank you enough for coming out.”
He also gave a heartfelt shoutout to his team, family, and fans, closing with:
“I love this job, I love this life, I love music, and I love the people I have around me. God bless you all.”

But Benson also had a little fun with it, taking to TikTok to share a playful video poking fun at the crowd’s less-than-electric energy during one of music’s most iconic songs.
“Me trying to get the crowd at Coachella to understand what an absolute legend Brian May is…”
he captioned a video of himself lip syncing into a banana microphone and then looking confused when the pretend crowd doesn’t react. 😂
Boone passed the vibe check. The crowd? Not so much.
@bensonbooneMystical Magical.
The good news? He’ll be back for Weekend 2 on Friday, April 18, and we have a feeling Coachella will be a bit louder this time.
Check out some fan footage of his performance.
