Changes to Parking for Norfolk Tides Games in 2025—Here’s What You Need to Know

If you’re planning to catch a Norfolk Tides game this season, you might need to adjust your parking plans. With the ongoing construction of the Norfolk casino next to Harbor Park, over 800 parking spaces that were previously available to baseball fans are now fenced off. Additionally, more than 100 spots are being used by Amtrak customers.

Alternative Parking Options & Free Transportation

MacArthur Center Garage:
The MacArthur Center garage along City Hall Avenue (near the former Dillard’s department store) will be free for Tides fans all season.

The Tide Light Rail:
For those looking for an easy ride, HRT is offering free light rail rides from the Newtown Road, Military Highway, and Ballentine/Broad Creek stations. These three stations have a combined 600 parking spaces, and parking is free at these park-and-ride lots. Complimentary Tide rides will be available two hours before and after each game.

HRT Ferry:
For the first time ever, ferry rides from the North Landing Ferry Dock in Portsmouth to Harbor Park will be free on game days. The ferry service runs every 30 minutes, beginning one hour before and continuing one hour after the game.

Closer Parking Options Near Harbor Park

If you still prefer to park near the stadium, there are a few options:

  • Dominion Tower Garage (Water Street): $6 per game

  • Union Street Lot & East Street Lot: $6 for night and weekend games

  • Handicap Parking (Lot A): $6 per space, but spots are expected to fill up quickly

Opening Day is Almost Here!
