The Big Bad Wolf Returning to Busch Gardens with “The Wolf’s Revenge”

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is putting the final touches on its highly anticipated new roller coaster, The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf’s Revenge, set to open in 2025.

This thrilling new ride pays homage to the original Big Bad Wolf coaster, which closed in 2009, while bringing a fresh and immersive experience to visitors.

The ride’s storyline takes guests into a Bavarian village with a haunted past. Decades ago, a terrifying wolf swept through the town, turning villagers into werewolves and leaving destruction in its wake. Now, 40 years later, the Festival of the Silent Bells honors that eerie history. As the festival begins, an unsettling presence returns—footsteps in the dark, low growls, and glowing red eyes signal the wolf’s comeback.

Riders will become the beast as they race through over 2,500 feet of inverted track, reaching speeds of up to 40 miles per hour. With sharp turns and high-speed maneuvers, the coaster promises an exhilarating journey through the abandoned village.
