Kelly Clarkson brought a fresh twist to her popular “Kellyoke” segment this week, performing a country-inspired rendition of Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please.” And it works!

Instead of staying true to the original pop vibe, Kelly added an old-school country feel, transforming the song into something you could imagine playing on a vintage jukebox.

After the performance, Kelly shared why she decided to take the song in a country direction. “Ever since I heard this song, for some reason, I hear like Dolly Parton singing it as well . . . it lends itself to country for me, so I asked my band if we could make more of a country version.”
