Pop superstar Ariana Grande recently issued a public apology to horror icon Elvira after the Mistress of the Dark shared a story about an unpleasant encounter between the two.
Elvira, whose real name is Cassandra Peterson, recalled a negative incident that took place at Knott’s Scary Farm, where Ariana allegedly displayed diva-like behavior. According to Elvira, Grande had requested 21 tickets for herself, her family, and friends to attend the event. But when the group went backstage, Ariana refused to take a photo with the horror hostess, an experience that left Elvira feeling slighted.
To make matters worse, Grande reportedly left the venue before the show even began, leaving her family behind to enjoy the evening without her. The story quickly gained traction online, with fans and media outlets buzzing about the pop star’s behavior.
In response, Ariana Grande stepped forward with an explanation and an apology. She revealed that she had been experiencing an anxiety attack at the time, which caused her to leave early and withdraw from interactions, including the requested photo op.
Grande commented on Elvira’s Instagram post writing, “i’m so disheartened to see this. i actually don’t even remember getting the chance to meet you because i had an anxiety attack and to my memory, left before the rest of my family (this was around 7 years ago and at the time i was really not great with being in public crowds or loud places)… but if i’m misremembering this moment, i sincerely apologize for offending you so. thank you for being so nice to my mom, she told me how lovely you were (she might have different feelings about that now but i’ll talk to her… clearly, we all have our days!) sending love always. ♡ you’ll always be our queen of halloween!”
