Starbucks Launches Pumpkin Spice Latte Earlier Than Ever, Introduces New Fall Flavors

Fall might officially start on September 22nd, but Starbucks isn’t waiting around to bring that autumn cheer! The Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) is back today, marking the earliest return in its history. Last year, the PSL made its appearance on August 24th, but this year Starbucks has pushed the date up even further to August 22nd.

Celebrating its 21st anniversary, the PSL debuted in 2003 and has since become a seasonal hallmark, heralding the arrival of fall for many even if the calendar disagrees. And for those looking to jazz up their morning coffee, the PSL’s 21st birthday might just be the perfect excuse to add a little extra kick to your cup.

Starbucks isn’t stopping there. The fall menu is also introducing a new drink with a rather lengthy name: the Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai. Inspired by a popular secret menu concoction, this new addition promises to deliver all the cozy flavors of an apple pie in a refreshing iced drink form.

Fans of the theme can also enjoy a whimsical new treat with the introduction of a Raccoon Cake Pop. For those who like to order ahead, there are exclusive beverages available only through the Starbucks app: the Iced Caramel Apple Cream and the Iced Honey Apple Almondmilk Flat White, both returning from last year’s fall lineup.

Keep your eyes peeled for October 1st, when Starbucks hints at rolling out even more seasonal delights, including a Mummy Cookie and an Iced Pecan Crunch Latte. It seems like Starbucks is determined to keep the fall spirits high, one pumpkin spice sip at a time!
