Ryan Reynolds Responds to Taylor Swift ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Cameo Rumors

Rumors have been swirling about Taylor Swift making a cameo in *Deadpool & Wolverine*.  Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, are close friends with Swift. She shot her music video for “All Too Well” at their house, and famously used the names of the couple’s daughters in her songs. On her 2017 album, *Reputation*, she even featured a voice recording of their daughter James on the song “Gorgeous.”

Reynolds increased speculation when he shared a teaser for the movie channeling the singer’s *Evermore* album cover. However, despite their connections, Reynolds has confirmed that Swift does not appear in the upcoming Marvel film.

While Swift won’t be in this film, Reynolds joked she could potentially take over the Deadpool role in the future. He told E! News, “I always do say that if anyone ever were to take over the role of Deadpool, actually Taylor would be very good. Because that’s a superpower that I don’t know that she shows everyone too often: She’s one of the funniest people I’ve ever met.”

Deadpool & Wolverine opens in theaters on Friday.
