“Wheel of Fortune” got an unexpected surprise when Hollywood actor Jared Leto briefly took on hosting duties for the iconic game show on April Fool’s Day. The “Joker” actor made a special appearance alongside longtime co-host Vanna White, much to the amusement of viewers.
Introduced as “the stars of our show,” Leto and White kicked off the episode with Leto confidently introducing the first puzzle of the night. “All right everybody, grab those devices, it’s time to give away some money,” Leto declared, setting the stage for the game. The category for the first puzzle was “On the Map,” adding an extra layer of excitement for the contestants.
However, the April Fools’ Day prank ended as quickly as it began, with regular host Pat Sajak reclaiming his position and seamlessly continuing the show. Leto’s appearance was never acknowledged again, leaving viewers to wonder if it was all part of the fun or a surreal moment in television history.

The unexpected hosting gig comes as Sajak, 77, announced last year that he would be stepping down after this 41st season as the beloved host of “Wheel of Fortune.” Ryan Seacrest has been tapped to take over as host.
Leo previously appeared on the game show calling himself the “worst contestant ever.”
