Our pet of the week is Dorea. She is three years old and was surrendered when her family could no longer care for her. She gets along well with kids and other cats. She is very playful when out of her kennel but she isn’t handling the stress of the shelter well and would like to find her new home ASAP.

Dorea was treated for a flea allergy upon her arrival and she is feeling much better! You might notice a little bit of hair missing but it is growing back in already!

Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center is at critical capacity All dogs 50 lbs and over are just $10 this weekend. The shelter shared on Wednesday that they are out of room and have reduced adoption fees for large dogs through Sunday.
