Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert film debuted this weekend with an estimated $95 to $97 million in North America and $126 million globally.
It’s already the biggest concert film of all time, domestically, beating Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never ($73 million) and Michael Jackson’s This Is It ($72 million). With international numbers, Swift still hasn’t beaten Jackson, but might. Eras Tour could even beat Joker ($96.2 million) for the biggest October opening ever.
There were no other major film releases this weekend, so The Exorcist: Believer placed No. 2 in its second week with $11 million. Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie earned another $7 million for third place. Saw X placed No. 4 with $5.7 million and The Creator rounded out the top five with $4.3 million.
