Lady Gaga has added 12 new dates to her “Jazz & Piano” residency in Las Vegas. The new run, which Gaga began in 2019, will kick off August 31st at the Park MGM and conclude on October 4th. The original setlist included 16 American standards like Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” and “Luck Be a Lady,” Dinah Washington’s “What a Diff’rence a Day Makes,” and George and Ira Gershwin’s “Someone to Watch Over Me.” Gaga also re-worked her own hits like “Poker Face” and “Born This Way.”
The new dates follow the death of her friend and collaborator Tony Bennett. “I will miss my friend forever,” the singer wrote Monday under a photo showing the pair hugging. “I will miss singing with him, recording with him, talking with him, being on stage together.” Bennett died July 21st at 96.
