Ashton Kutcher and Reese Witherspoon star in a new romantic comedy, Your Place or Mine, but the stars’ chemistry fell flat while promoting the movie.

Witherspoon told Today that even Kutcher’s wife Mila Kunis thought they looked “awkward” together.
“She even emailed us last night,” Witherspoon said. “She goes, ‘You guys look so awkward on the red carpet together.’ … It’s just fun ‘cause when you know a girlfriend so much, it was just fun to get to know her significant other ‘cause I’ve loved her for so long.”
Kutcher also addressed the awkwardness while appearing on the Chicks in the Office podcast this week, saying his wife “texted Reese and I together and said, ‘Guys, you gotta, like, act like you like each other,’”
“Here’s the thing. If I put my arm around her and was all friendly with her, I’d be having an affair with her. Like, the rumor would be that I’m having an affair with her,” he said.
Kutcher has a point, after Chastain and Isaac’s red carpet moment went viral, the affair rumors began.
