Emmy-winning actor Leslie Jordan has died at the age of 67.
The comedian known for his wry Southern drawl starred on TV series like “Will & Grace” and “American Horror Story.”
“The world is definitely a much darker place today without the love and light of Leslie Jordan. Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of its most difficult times,” a representative for Jordan said in a statement Monday. “Knowing that he has left the world at the height of both his professional and personal life is the only solace one can have today.”
Jordan was behind the wheel of a BMW when he crashed into the side of a building at Cahuenga Boulevard and Romaine Street in Hollywood on Monday morning, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The Tennessee native won an outstanding guest actor Emmy in 2005 for his role on “Will & Grace,” and recently appeared on the Mayim Bialik comedy “Call me Kat.”
His other recent work includes guest roles on American Horror Story and the 2018-19 Fox sitcom The Cool Kids.
