Disney has set the release date for its live-action remake of “Pinocchio,” starring Tom Hanks as Geppetto.
The film is set to premiere on Disney+ worldwide on Sept. 8, 2022 and co-stars Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, Cynthia Erivo, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Keegan-Michael Key, Lorraine Bracco and Luke Evans.
In the teaser trailer, Hanks is seen as Gepetto carving Pinocchio from a block of wood and making a fateful wish upon a star for the toy to be brought to life by the Blue Fairy (Cynthia Erivo).
