Shawn Mendes took the stage at SXSW this weekend where he debuted a new breakup song, “When You’re Gone.”
The pop singer headlined at the Billboard + Samsung’s The Stage event in Austin and shared with the crowd that he was excited to be working on new music before launching into an uptempo song about the end of a relationship.
Mendes opened up on Instagram over the weekend about learning to be alone now saying, “‘Who do I call when I’m, like, in a panic attack? Who do I call when I’m like, f–king, on the edge?’”
