An 89-year-old Papa John’s worker went viral after Tik Tok user Carlos Valdez shared a video of his enthusiastic pizza delivery.
Tik Tok users suggested a “Venmo challenge” to raise money for Derlin Newey. Valdez talked to news station KSL about the challenge saying, “Somebody at that age should not be working that much.”
They raised $12,000 for him and surprised him at his house with the good news.
