Bryan Adams is coming under fire due to some remarks he made about the coronavirus. The 60-year-old singer posted an Instagram video singing his 1983 song “Cut Like a Knife” while in quarantine.
In his explosive caption, he began venting about his frustrations with not being able to tour. He then wrote insensitive and explicit words about and directed toward Chinese people. The post quickly caught backlash online, leading the singer to disable the comments on the post but not deleting the post or caption.
On Tuesday, Adams posted another video, captioning it with an apology for his previous post.
“Apologies to any and all that took offence [sic] to my posting yesterday. No excuse, I just wanted to have a rant about the horrible animal cruelty in these wet-markets being the possible source of the virus, and promote veganism. I have love for all people and my thoughts are with everyone dealing with this pandemic around the world.”
